Richard graduated from Cornell Law School in 1964 and began his career as a general practice lawyer, working in state and federal courts.

Richard Lublin was a founding partner in a prestigious law firm with offices in East Hartford and Avon, Connecticut. The firm had as many as 22 practicing attorneys.

Before retiring in 1995, Richard Lublin was involved in several high profile cases during his career as a Connecticut attorney.

Richard represented The Dartmouth Plan, and the 13 Banks represented by the plan, in the trial of the State of Connecticut vs. the Dartmouth Plan. Then Connecticut Attorney General Joe Lieberman represented the State of Connecticut.

Richard Lublin also served as a lawyer on the legal team in the involuntary bankruptcy action against Colonial Realty; representing the financial institutions.
